THE PROTOCALL SYNDROME

As I continue, QUITE COMFORTABLY, to ride the "WONDERFUL WAVES OF CONTROVERSY," I would like to talk about how CULTURE can be ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS, AT TIMES; now, within OUR "HUMAN CULTURE," I would IMAGINE that you could refer, it's ALWAYS been known as "PROPER (SCREW "PROPER") PROTOCALL" to refer to ANY ADULT, or ADULT-LOOKING MALE OR FEMALE as either "SIR, MR., MISS, or MA'AM (short for "MADAM," which NOONE uses THAT word, anymore, THESE days). What MY beef about THIS matter is that since I'm DEFINITELY NOT A CONFORMIST, EXCEPT for "SELECTIVE TIMES," I DEFINITELY REFUSE to be apart of the "SIR" blend; HOWEVER, since my decision to NO LONGER LOOK FOR CONFLICT, by "GETTING ANGRY" at anyone that I DON'T know, for calling me either "SIR" or "MR.," I decided to interject, CONVERSATIONALLY, amidst this sea of "PROTOCALL-BEHAVING on THEIR end, while they're "SIR/MR.-ACTIVE," with: "By the way, my name is YOUNG MAN (or SON)." YES, I DO RECOGNIZE that it IS "AGE-INAPPROPRIET" to be called "YOUNG MAN" and/or "SON" at the age of 44, going on 45, but just like ANYTHING ELSE that you've known of me to not care about, that I've BLATANTLY POSTED in reference to, this is CERTAINLY NO DIFFERENT.

Well, I think Sir, and miss, or the other things are for courtesy's sake and for heavens sake, why mind it?

I say it all the time. Oh, and I use madam.

BECAUSE there's the VERY INTEGRITY of "SIR" that I just TOTALLY DEFY, which is to "BLEND INTO IT, BEHAVIORALLY." For EXAMPLE: ONE expectation of the "SIR" integrity, which is BASICALLY THE SAME for the "MISS, MA'AM, MADAM," AS WELL, is that whenever addressed, regardless of the atmosphere, with the TONE LEVEL which would be that of ANY SERIOUS, NO-NONSENSE QUALITY, MY RESPONSE would be THE EXACT OPPOSITE, ESPECIALLY when I'm called that ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS AND WRETCHED "SIR/MR." word. NO, I'm NOT EVER IN DENIAL, AT ANY TIME, WHATSOEVER, of the fact that I'm GETTING OLDER, but in ABSOLUTE DEFIANCE, I don't EVER have to "BLEND INTO THIS FACT," just because I DO recognize it, and that SOCIETY says that I have to. The ONLY ATTENTION OF RECOGNITION that such fact will ONLY EVER GET FROM ME is my making the VERY MOCKERY that I ALWAYS 24-7-365/66 MAKE by how I live my life. Now, JUST AS IN THE CASE of "THE SIGHTED/BLIND-IGNORANCE SYNDROME," the NUMBER ONE, if not THE ONLY ONE, OBJECTIVE is to KEEP MY COOL, NO MATTER WHAT--defying odds IS DEFINITELY FUN, but the ONLY CHALLENGE that DOES COME WITH THE PACKAGE, is to ALWAYS REMAIN UNDER CONTROL, TOTALLY FREE FROM ANY/ALL IMPULSIVE RESPONSES.

Why mind it if it's only manners. Would you rather someone call you bastard or bitch, then?

How does YOUR question in the IMMEDIATE-ABOVE POST answer THIS: what's "UNMANNERLY" about being "ADDRESSED" as either "YOUNG MAN" or "SON," since I'M the one that would be "ADDRESSED" as such, at MY age, JUST BECAUSE the GENERAL CULTURE OF SOCIETY has to ALWAYS wanna stick ITS "CENTS' WORTH," where I ABRUPTLY, WITHOUT HESITATION, dismiss it, WITHOUT A FIGHT, as I'm NOW LEARNING how to do it? Hmmm?

People would never call you "son" because in many cases you are not much younger than they are. Plus, you are not a stranger's son. "Young man" is usually a term designated for someone very young. In many cases you may be addressed by someone much younger than you are. Would it be okay for them to call you "old man", "old fart" "Dad" or "Grandpa"? What if they smilingly and friendly called you "You old fart"?

Personally, I call men I don't know Sir and women M'am or "Miss" out of respect.

I'm gonna challenge you with THIS thought, then: has ANY STRANGER arbitrarily approached you with: "I COMMAND YOU to call me "SIR" or "MA'AM," as the UNIVERSAL CODE OF ""RESPECT," that I SO TRULY DESIRE," in order for you to determine that such would be, as opposed to this SAME SUCH, as being a matter of "DISRESPECT?"

IN OTHER WORDS, how is it that either YOU, I, or ANYONE, for this matter, can ACTUALLY ASSUME SUCH AUTHORITY to determine, FOR ANYONE ELSE, what THEY'RE SUPPOSED to regard as "RESPECT," "DISRESPECT," or JUST PLAIN NONE OF THE ABOVE, for THEMSELVES, JUST BECAUSE "SOCIETAL CULTURE," if you will, DICTATES SUCH, the moment that you even LOOK like, LET ALONE ACTUALLY BECOME, OFFICIALLY, an adult, LEGALLY?

FACT: GROWING OLDER is INEVITABLE; GROWING UP is OPTIONAL, and that's DEFINITELY ONE out of COUNTLESS OTHER OPTIONS that I'll NEVER choose.

Ok old man: I think it's time to grow up. Sir/ma'am is showing respect and it has always been. People are going to find you extremely rude.
